Learn architecture and engineering by planning and building with LEGO® materials.

Course description
What students make and do
Students study how buildings stand up, how styles differ, and how design responds to purpose and place. They then create structures with LEGO® materials, combining architecture, physics, engineering, and storytelling. Challenges range from skyscrapers and Greek columns to treehouses and future cities.
- Engineer a stable LEGO® skyscraper
- Compare and construct different housing styles
- Build Greek columns, façades, and an Egyptian pyramid
- Design a White House replica or nature-inspired treehouse
- Create and present a future-inspired building

How we adapt it
Adapted for age, experience, and schedule.
Younger students work from recognizable structures and guided building questions; older students can consider load distribution, architectural style, and cohesive city planning. Beginners receive clear build challenges, while experienced builders pursue more open-ended designs. Short formats feature individual structures; longer programs develop an architectural series and final showcase.
