Science & Engineering
A hands-on chemistry and physics class built around safe, memorable experiments.
Grades K–6The project mix and pace are tailored to the age group, experience level, and time available.

Course description
Students investigate chemical reactions, sound, motion, polymers, and surface tension through practical experiments. Each class centers on a question and a project students can test, discuss, and often take home. Activities are selected for the age group and the available classroom space.
Sample program path
This example shows one possible progression. The order and depth change with the group and contract.
How we adapt it
Younger students focus on observation, prediction, and carefully guided construction; older students can explain density, reactions, and energy in greater depth. Beginners follow modeled procedures, while experienced groups can vary designs and compare outcomes. Short formats select a few complete experiments; longer programs connect a broader sequence of scientific ideas and take-home builds.
Program logistics
Device, platform-account, storage, and other site responsibilities are confirmed during planning when they apply.
For families
Enrollment is usually handled by the organization hosting the class. Use the registration link in the listing you received. If you cannot find it, contact Athena with the program name and location. We will help identify available opportunities.
