Course description
Students work with LEGO® WeDo components to build machines that move and respond. They learn how motors, sensors, control boards, and simple code work together, then apply those ideas to increasingly open-ended challenges. Teams test, revise, and explain their engineering choices.
Sample program path
This example shows one possible progression. The order and depth change with the group and contract.
How we adapt it
Younger students use guided builds and short block-code commands; older students can investigate gear ratios, calibration, and combined sensors. Beginners start from a working base model, while experienced students solve more open-ended engineering problems. Short formats complete a moving robot and one challenge; longer programs build toward an original robot and showcase.
