Coding & Technology
Design original Roblox games while learning the Lua code that makes them work.
Grades 1–12The project mix and pace are tailored to the age group, experience level, and time available.

Course description
Students begin with a game idea, sketch the experience they want to create, and then build playable projects in Roblox Studio. Along the way, they use Lua to control obstacles, power-ups, scoring, goals, enemies, and other game systems. The course can support first-time creators as well as students ready for more advanced scripting.
Sample program path
This example shows one possible progression. The order and depth change with the group and contract.
How we adapt it
Younger students use guided builds and simpler game mechanics; older students can take on more complex Lua systems. Beginners start with Studio navigation and editable code, while experienced students extend variables, loops, scoring, and enemy behavior. Short formats center on one guided game; longer programs add an original collaborative project and showcase.
Program logistics
Device, platform-account, storage, and other site responsibilities are confirmed during planning when they apply.
